The Le Wi Tok App is an inclusive, user-centered mobile application designed to improve communication and educational outcomes for persons with hearing and speech impairments in Sierra Leone. Developed by a multidisciplinary team, the app promotes American Sign Language (ASL) as the standard sign language across the country. It addresses the educational and social challenges faced by hearing-impaired children, their parents, and teachers, serving as both a learning tool and a bridge to unify communication within the Deaf and hearing communities.

Overall Assessment

The repository 'leh-wi-tok' does not meet the criteria for a Digital Public Good. It lacks relevance to SDGs, clear ownership, an open license, and considerations for privacy and ethical design. Improvements in these areas are necessary for it to qualify as a DPG.
